With SYNDICATE Design, you have a number of options ranging from help with basic decal placement to full 3d modeling and livery creation. Below you’ll find examples of the process we go through to get your car looking its best.

The first step is usually the vehicle itself. I start with a base 3D model of your chassis and perform the same modifications you have to the digital version. Wings, splitters, wheels, custom endplates and wing mounts, air dams, vents, cut fenders, etc., can all be added with modeling software so the car we paint looks just like yours. This is a HUGE advantage when trying to sell prospective sponsors on your race package for the season. They LOVE seeing the car in 3D to get a better idea of what the new livery will look like, and how their branding will be displayed.

Once we have your vehicle replicated, I start designing the actual livery on a template that we can apply directly to the model. This helps to make sure alignment is correct when translating a 2D design to a 3D surface, but also allows you to see your ideas or my design (often times both) directly on the car with a 360 degree turntable preview.

If a commercial wrap template doesn’t exist for your specific vehicle, or you’re looking for a higher quality rendering to make stickers, I can illustrate it for you!

It’s not uncommon at this stage to go back and forth a number of times with major and minor revisions to the design, guided by your input. Sponsors can also have access to previews and design input, if you so choose. Making it a collaboration between everyone ensures that the final product matches your vision, and when the car is finally wrapped everyone will know exactly what to expect.

Your final design is delivered in an industry standard vector format suitable for scaling and large format printing:

This AI file includes multiple layers for your wrap installer so they can easily test print and output the design without headaches or time consuming changes. My notes are included on top of the file to indicate areas that have extra bleed, may need alignment consideration, or require special attention to detail during the install. This makes their life easier and often translates to a lower install quote for you or your sponsors. Alternatively, liveries designed for a vinyl plotter can be set up in a way that makes it easy for you to plot and cut the shapes in your own garage. If you have a 24” machine, I’ll design something that fits through it. Although offering less detail than a fully printed wrap, this method can be considerably less expensive if you already have a cutter and don’t need complex shapes

As an additional service, your 3D model can then be converted to a working vehicle in the popular sim racing game Assetto Corsa. Physics can be altered to match your car’s performance and with its new livery, you’ll have an exact replica of your race car that clients and customers can download and race

This is a perfect option for shops with sim rigs in the corner, or race teams looking to get extra seat time in the off-season. Contact me for more details!
